Why not make a ‘FABRIC BOWL’ ONE DAY WORKSHOP 10AM – 4PM £28 Fabric bowls have become increasingly popular with patchworkers and quilters over the last couple of years. In a surprisingly short space of time it is possible to create your own individual bowls as gifts, or to suit your every mood. Using patchwork fabrics and craft/pelmet Vilene we will make bowls which are rigid enough to serve nibbles, sweets or hold toiletries and can be admired on their own as gifts. What is more they are reversible and can be turned inside out to show a different fabric on the other side. Try making them to match the seasons of the year – they look especially sumptuous in Christmas fabrics, start early and you will be well prepared. You will need to be able to do an adjustable zigzag/satin stitch on your machine. You can embellish with cords and braids if desired. This is a machine technique although some embellishments can be done by hand if wished. Tutor Jill Arnold.
